Residency Program

Screen Queensland - sqhub: About

OVERVIEW

sqhub is a 12-month residency program for screen businesses, including game development studios, in their start-up and growth phases. There are two sqhub locations – sqhub at the Screen Queensland head office (Newstead, Brisbane) and The Creative Hub at the Bond University Gold Coast Campus (Robina, Gold Coast).

Benefits of the program include:

  • A full-time desk space inside the hub (or a part time desk if preferred)

  • Office/ business facilities including internet, electricity, meeting rooms and general office furniture

  • Three sessions with screen industry specialist consultants

  • Free access to sqhub events

  • A community manager to assist you on your creative journey

The Creative Hub also includes:

  • A Bond University intern of your choice for one trimester per year

  • Free car parking

​

The residency costs $181.50 per month per desk for full time desk space, or $88 per month per desk for part-time desk space. The number of desks required for your team can be stipulated through the application process.

REQUIREMENTS

There are no public eligibility requirements for sqhub. Contact Screen Queensland to see whether your company or project would be eligible for sqhub.

APPLICATION PROCESS

To apply for sqhub, you must fill out an Expression of Interest form. If this Expression of Interest is successful, you will be contact by Screen Queensland.

Applications for sqhub open yearly, with the most recent round for sqhub closing in February 2019 and the most recent round for the Creative Hub closing in July 2019.
